Qatar Auto Museum and Qatar National Library, through its Qatar Reads initiative, presented Art on Wheels: Bridging Literature and Community.

This travelling exhibit, supported by Seashore Group, transformed a water tank truck into a mobile mural inspired by Men in the Sun, a renowned novel by Palestinian author Ghassan Kanafani. The project aimed to promote Arabic literature, engage the community and support the One Book, One Doha campaign.

The water truck debuted at the One Book, One Doha Festival at Katara and continued travelling across Doha, inspiring cultural dialogue and literary appreciation. The mural featured striking Arabic calligraphy and artwork that reflected the novel’s themes of displacement, resilience, and identity. Visitors had the opportunity to engage with the story in a unique and visual way, fostering discussions on literature and cultural heritage. The project also served as an interactive learning tool, helping to bridge the gap between literature and public art while promoting the significance of Arabic storytelling traditions.
